FAQ on Our Live Stream Services - Livestream Co
Funeral Live Streaming
What happens if the internet drops during the funeral service?
That is exactly why we never rely on the venue’s Wi-Fi or a single connection. We use bonded mobile internet (multiple networks running simultaneously), so if one drops, the others carry the stream without interruption. In rare cases even though we use both Optus and Telstra 4G/5G we could experience extremely low signal strength and therefore low bandwidth, in these sort of incidences we recommend using Starlink satellite as a backup and as per our terms & Conditions we personally cannot guarantee carrier issues this is directly outside our direct control.
Can the funeral director book the livestream on behalf of the family?
Absolutely. We work directly with funeral directors across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Queensland regularly. They can handle the booking, briefing, and coordination on the family’s behalf. It is one less thing for a grieving family to manage, and we’re used to working within those arrangements.
How do elderly relatives who are not tech-savvy watch the stream?
They just need a device and the private link we will send before the service. It opens in any browser – no app downloads, no account creation, no passwords. If a family member can forward them the link, they can watch. We have had viewers in their 80s and 90s join without any trouble.
Can you livestream a funeral that's being held at a private home?
Yes! And it is much more common for us. Not every farewell happens in a funeral home or chapel. Some families prefer an intimate home service, and we respect that completely. We bring everything we need, including our own power solutions if required, set up discreetly, and work within the space without taking it over. Just let us know the location when you enquire, and we’ll talk through the setup with you.
Will the camera operator be visible or disruptive during the service?
Our crew is trained to work quietly and stay out of the way. We position ourselves and our equipment so we’re present without being noticed. We’ve worked in chapels, churches, funeral homes, and graveside locations. So, our team understands the sensitivity of the environment and acts accordingly.
Can remote viewers leave a message or tribute for the family?
While the livestream itself is a one-way broadcast, we can discuss options for adding a digital tribute or message board alongside the stream link. It is not a standard inclusion, but it’s something we can point families toward if they’d like remote guests to have a way to connect beyond just watching.
Is the replay link permanent, or does it expire?
The replay link is available for an extended period after the service. We will let you know the exact timeframe when you book. Usually 3 months after Funeral. If a family needs longer access — for instance, for a relative who was unwell and couldn’t watch straight away — just let us know. We will do what we can to accommodate that.
What if the funeral venue says they already have their own streaming setup?
Some venues do have basic setups in place, and that is fine. But there’s a significant difference between a fixed camera on the back wall and a professionally managed livestream with dedicated audio, a trained operator, and a reliable private link. We are happy to discuss what the venue offers versus what we provide so you can make the right call for your family.
Wedding Live Stream
Will the livestream crew interfere with our wedding photographer or videographer?
We coordinate with your other suppliers before the day, so everyone knows where they will be positioned. Our cameras are compact, and our crew stays in defined spots. We are not competing for the same angles. We are just focused on giving remote guests a clean view of the ceremony.
Can we restrict who watches the wedding livestream?
Yes, completely. Every stream runs on a private link that only works for the people you share it with. There’s no public listing, no searchable stream, and no way for uninvited guests to stumble across it. You control who receives the link, and that is where it stays.
What if our wedding venue has poor mobile coverage?
It will not affect the stream. We carry our own bonded mobile internet that pulls from multiple networks at once. Poor venue coverage has never stopped one of our wedding streams. We’ve broadcast from rural properties, beachside locations, and heritage buildings with thick stone walls without any issues. So do not worry about that!
Can international guests watch the wedding livestream in a different time zone?
Yes! And this is one of the most common reasons couples book with us. The private link works globally. If the service is at 2 pm Brisbane time, your family in the UK or the US can work out the time difference and tune in live. The replay is also available afterwards for anyone who couldn’t stay up.
How does the audio work? Will guests actually hear the vows clearly?
Audio is something we take seriously. We connect directly to the celebrant’s microphone or the venue’s PA system where possible, and we use our own professional audio equipment as a backup. So, remote guests can clearly hear the vows, the readings, and the music.
Can we get a copy of the wedding livestream recording for ourselves?
Yes — a full HD recording is included in every package. It’s not a screen capture or a compressed file. It’s the same quality feed that was broadcast on the day, saved and delivered to you as a proper keepsake. Some couples end up watching it back on their anniversary every year.
What if our ceremony runs over time or the schedule changes on the day?
Weddings rarely run exactly on time, and we know that better than most. We build flexibility into how we operate on the day. If things run late or the order changes, we adjust. There’s no hard cut-off where we pack up mid-ceremony. We stay until the job is done.
Do we need to brief the livestream crew about our ceremony beforehand?
We’ll have a conversation with you before the day to understand the structure of your ceremony, any special moments to capture, and the order of events. The more we know, the better we can prepare. It’s a relaxed chat — not a production meeting — and it means the day runs smoother for everyone.
